I began my career in financial services in 2001—just before the world changed. Within months, markets collapsed, fear took hold, and I watched people who believed they were prepared face impossible decisions. Some returned to work. Others cut their lifestyle in half. The plans they thought they had weren’t built to withstand what happened, and the consequences were real.

That experience stayed with me. I knew I didn’t want to practice reactive advice. I wanted to help people build plans that could absorb shocks, handle volatility, and preserve choice when others were scrambling. Over the past two and a half decades, that philosophy has become the foundation of my work.

There’s an old saying: the time to fix the roof is when the sun is shining. That idea captures how I think about planning. The most important work happens before stress, before urgency, before markets or life force hard decisions. Preparation creates freedom.

Today, I focus on helping people in or near retirement make decisions with clarity instead of pressure. That means planning for taxes over a lifetime—not just a single year. Investment management that prioritizes outcomes over headlines. And strategies designed to hold up when markets, tax laws, or life itself doesn’t go according to plan.

The work is technical, but the goal is human. I want clients to feel prepared instead of anxious. To have options instead of being forced into corners. When markets turn volatile and clients remain calm because the plan was built for moments like that, I know we’ve done this right.

I grew up with a strong sense of family and community, and that still shapes how I approach relationships today. This isn’t transactional work—it’s a long-term partnership with people I genuinely care about.

I’m a graduate of West Virginia University and bring more than 25 years of experience in investment advisory, financial planning, and risk management. I hold Life and Health Insurance licenses and maintain FINRA Series 7, 63, and 66 registrations, reflecting a broad advisory background across investments, planning, and client guidance.

Outside the office, I live in Denver’s Highlands neighborhood with my wife, Iryna, and our son, Steffen. We love the simple things—walking the neighborhood, lingering over meals, and spending time with family, friends, neighbors, and clients. Being together, in good company, is where we find the most joy.

“Technical expertise matters — and ours runs deep. But what truly sets us apart is something simpler: good old-fashioned financial bedside manner.”
